Treasure Coast girls top Central for 4th win

Jaycie Tate scored one goal and assisted on the other two Wednesday night as the Treasure Coast High School girls soccer team defeated Fort Pierce Central 3-1 in a District 10-5A game at South County Stadium

Sydney Gardner and Juliet Ferretti had the other goals for Treasure Coast (4-1, 3-1 district).

Ferreitti had one assist.

Treasure Coast coach BJ Busutil praised the defensive play of Nicole Vargas while Tate and Pam Figuieredo controlled the midfield.

Fort Pierce Central is 3-4-1, 2-3.

Treasure Coast plays at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Vero Beach.

South Fork 12, Palm Beach Lakes 0: Julia Surgeont scored four goals and Crystal Hagberg added three goals and two assists as the Bulldogs remained undefeated.

Leia Rausch scored two goals while Julianna Degaetano, Shannon Norton and Abigail Atwell had one apiece for South Fork (9-0, 5-0 district).

Madison Garrity and Daniann Eckhardt also had two assists. Degaetano and Sarah Heldreth had one apiece.

Kaylee Magruder made three saves for her seventh shutout. The Bulldogs have outscored opponents 57-2 while extending their area-record regular-season undefeated streak to 46 games (41-0-5).

Palm Beach Lakes is 0-6, 0-3.

South Fork hosts W.T. Dwyer at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Lincoln Park Academy 7, Sebastian River 1: Tianna Hogan scored two goals and assisted on another as the Greyhounds won a District 6-4A game at Sebastian.

Amber Clark had one goal and two assists while Camille Carpenter had one goal and one assist for Lincoln Park (5-4, 1-2 district).

Alyssa Carpenter, Jennifer Sarullo and Tanyia Cherry had the other goals. Kayla Trianna and Marisa Lee had the other assists.

Bailey Barber made three saves.

Sebastian River is 4-4, 0-2.

Martin County 4, Seminole Ridge 4: Jordyn Plewke had two goals and one assist in the Tigers' tie at Loxahatchee.

Neve Duston added one goal and two assists for Martin County (5-2-2). Hailee Velasquez had the other goal, Alyanah Walker made the other assist and Grace Haner made 12 saves.

Seminole Ridge also is 5-2-2.

Martin County plays at 6 p.m. Friday at Royal Palm Beach.

Jupiter 8, St. Lucie West Centennial 0 (Tuesday): Heather Sceiczina made 15 saves in the Eagles' District 10-5A loss.

Centennial is 0-7-1, 0-4-1 district. Jupiter is 7-1, 4-1.

Centennial plays Tuesday against Palm Beach Gardens.

Boys soccer

Fort Pierce Central 8, Lincoln Park Academy 0: Kevin Ceren had two goals and one assist to lead the Cobras to a win at Fort Pierce Central.

Reuben Harrison added one goal and two assists for Fort Pierce Central (3-2-1), which won its third consecutive game. Mark Allen and Sebastian Morales had one goal and one assist apiece.

Alex Rocha scored one goal and the last was an own goal. Jonathan Lainez had one assist and Daniel Banuelos made two saves.

Lincoln Park Academy is 0-4.

Fort Pierce Westwood 1, St. Edward's 1: Daniel Enciso scored on an assist from Miguel Guadarrama as the Panther tied the Pirates in Vero Beach.

Jose Villalta made five saves for Fort Pierce (4-1-1).

Will Sternberg had the goal for St. Edward's (4-0-1) on an assist from Juan Torres.

Britt Reisman made eight saves.

St. Edward's hosts Master's Academy at 6 p.m. Friday. Fort Pierce Westwood plays Monday against Lincoln Park Academy.

Forest Hill 3, Martin County 2: Gabe Robert and Alexis Barba scored goals in the Tigers' District 13-4A loss in Stuart.

Joey Alberti and Bruno DaMata had the assists for Martin County (3-2-2, 0-2-2 district).

Alex Viola made five saves.

Forest Hill is 2-1-1, 2-0-1.

Melbourne Central Catholic 2, South Fork 1: Emmanuel Andres scored on an assist from Sasha Fiumara for the Bulldogs at South Fork.

Alex Barker made four saves for South Fork (3-1-1).

Melbourne Central Catholic (5-2) won its fifth consecutive game.

South Fork plays Thursday against Okeechobee.

Wrestling

Jensen Beach 34, Olympic Heights 32: The Falcons got three pins and held off the Lions during an in-school dual meet despite forfeiting two weight classes.

Nick Davenport (106), Kenny Hauck (113) and Blake Wiswell (182) won by pin for Jensen Beach (10-1), which won its 10th consecutive dual meet.

Jensen Beach wrestles Friday and Saturday in the Danny Byron Memorial Duals at Kissimmee-Osceola.

Kenny Pfeiffer Invitaional (Saturday) Port St. Lucie finished 5-0 to win the Kenny Pfeiffer Invitational at Sebastian River.

The Jaguars had wins against Port St. Lucie, Okeechobee, Sebastian River, St. Lucie West Centennial and South Fork.

Okeechobee finished 4-1, losing to Port St. Lucie 42-40.

Sebastian River's Zachary Robertson was named Outstanding Lightweight Wrestler while Centennial's John Moran was named Outsanding Heavyweight Wrestler.
