Gigi Hadid Conquers the Trickiest Makeup Color in London

In a runway season filled with playful neon shadows and swipes of graphic liner, statement makeup is clearly having a moment. But leave it to Gigi Hadid to effortlessly pull off a potentially tricky shade while in town for London Fashion Week.

The California blonde stepped out wearing an oversized plaid jacket—but it was her monochromatic rose-gold makeup that turned heads. In what is arguably amongst the hardest eyeshadow colors to pull off, Hadid seamlessly blended a wash of shimmering rose into the crease of her lid and tops of cheekbones, careful not to forget a dab on her pouty lips.

While bronze, silver and even peach shadows are easily applied and worn with any frock or coat, pink runs the risk of giving lids a haven't-slept-in-days tired cast. By choosing a warm, glimmering hue that worked with her golden skintone and heightening the romantic mood of her look with a ballerina bun, the model, who is in town to show her latest from Tommy Hilfiger's collection, nailed the equation. Think of it as just one more reason to spread fall’s prettiest blush shades a little higher north.
